Paper should begin here: †¢ Introduction paragraph : †¢ Summarize the movie from a sociological perspective (approximately 1 page) : In the film of The Hunger Games, there are districts that are stratified, the bottom of the districts are those with the least amount of resources to survive. Those at the top control the resources by hosting an annual game that will test the strength and courage of two youth, â€Å"tributes,† to survive in a human hunting game. One male and one female are chosen at random from each district to participate in the game. There will only be one victor, he/she has to manage to stay alive in order to win the game and provide resources to their district. Each tribute is given only one weapon, to help them survive the game. The game is viewed by every district, and the Capitol, (upper class and power) uses this game as entertainment. Anomie is present in the film, because not every district has the same resources, the tributes can have a less chance to survive. The fi lm focuses on District 12, which is the bottom of the barrel at the moment. This district is suffering from lack of food, it is it’s turn for the tributes to be chosen for the annual Hunger Games. The male chosen tribute for District 12 is Peeta, and the female chosen tribute is Katniss little sister. Katniss knows that her sister is too young and innocent to see a slaughter of humans in the game. Therefore Katniss volunteers herself as tribute for District 12.
